CLOSING PARTY AUGUST 17, 7-10pm
The party continues at Made Out of WHAT! Don’t miss the closing night festivities where we bring together international artists and environmental thought leaders to showcase their innovative solutions to the immense problems of plastic pollution in our planet’s seas, oceans and rivers through art, wearables, videos and so much more!
The Universal Sea exhibition includes installations by artists who transform consumer waste into powerful visual manifestos, musical instruments, VR experience, book launch for The Universal Sea, Pure or Plastic?, and other inspiring ideas.
Among them will be artist Claudia Borgna’s ironically ethereal installation of plastic bags; Marcus Eriksen’s wall map, composed of colorful tiles of plastic debris corresponding continent where it was collected; glowing, life-size plastic pack dog named “Sonny” by sculptor Cynthia Minet; a VR trash experience by film students of the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg, Germany, the list goes on!
Come talk trash and get inspired! For our fundraiser there will be a raffle, auction items, shopping in the MOoW boutique for ingenious and unique creations made out of consumer detritus and a no-host bar. Get your tickets today!
